We see in this story that God still uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Esther was poor, a minority in a foreign culture, and God chose to elevate her through a beauty pageant, to position her to help his people. God positioned many others as well: David, Joseph, the Apostle Paul. In our lives, we can also ask God to give us a “such a time as this” moment, an opportunity, a platform, a purpose, and destiny. 

Relationships require a lot of work, but we need them. Many of us have bought into the myth that the key to happiness is independence, but true happiness, according to God’s Word, is interdependence.

When we limit God, He is limited. God is not limited based on our perception of what we need Him to be for Him to work. God empowers ordinary people to do extraordinary things. God can empower you to raise Godly children in any circumstance.

We are all called to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples. We have been commissioned as the church to do so. One of City Church’s mission statements is to love people to new life in Christ. As we love people to new life in Christ, we must be aware of the sin people must overcome. While sin can make us feel far from God, we are never far from God because God is always with us.

 From this scripture, we glean that what God starts, He finishes. If God is for us, then nothing and no one can be against us. For those of us who call City Church home, Pastor Kent is not asking us to give financially. But, he is asking us, as the Lord leads us, to think higher, pray bigger, give greater, and serve stronger

As long as the earth remains, there will be seed, time, and harvest - this is a Biblical principle that has been active since God created the earth. We are called to sow and water, and God brings the harvest.

Jesus is looking for covenant people who are willing to commit in covenant to what Jesus committed to and in covenant with His Church. We should love and be committed to the Church because Jesus loves the Church and He is committed to it. If we plant ourselves and remain committed, God will speak to us, bless us, strengthen us, and find us right where we are because He is good. We are not called to be a perfect Church, we are called to be a perfected Church.

Today we celebrate Jesus’ victory over sin, death, and the grave with over 2.3 billion Christ-followers around the world. We can visit Jesus’ grave, but we are not going to find Him there. He is alive. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the defining pivotal event in human history.
