Day 21: He is Faithful

“God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.” 1 THESSALONIANS 5:24 NKJV

On our final day of fasting, we celebrate the faithfulness of God, knowing that with God on our side, nothing can be against us. As we step forward with clarity and a deeper understanding of God’s will for our lives, we can do so in faith. God’s faithfulness means that He is always consistent. His word never changes, and He is always willing to do much more than we can ask or think.

Abraham received a promise from God that a nation would be birthed through him. This would have seemed impossible to anyone considering that Abraham and Sarah were past childbearing age. But Abraham believed and obeyed. The Bible says in Hebrews 11:8, “By faith, Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.”

It doesn’t matter what challenges we encounter. We can stand on God’s promises. Whatever He has said concerning us in His word is as sure as the ground we stand on. We can count on Him. We can place our faith in God’s faithfulness. There is nothing more secure than that.

Abraham believed and stepped out in faith.

We can keep God’s promises front and center regardless of opposition, fear, or doubt. Keeping our focus on God gives us supernatural strength to overcome anything the devil or life throws our way.

We can be encouraged today and “hold fast the confession of [your] hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:21 NKJV)

On your last day of fasting, remember that:

●       God is faithful, and you can rest knowing He will always come through.

●       God will do His part. You are called to obey and do yours.

●       You can put your faith in God’s faithfulness.

Prayer Focus:

Thank God for the strength and grace to complete this fast. God, I ask you in Jesus’ name for a spirit of boldness to step out in faith into all you have called me to do. I thank you, God, that you are faithful. Bless your holy name.

Reflection Question: How will you step out in faith into the fullness of God’s call on your life?
