Day 15: Fasting for the World & Those Around Us

“Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” JEREMIAH 29:12 NKJV

The Lord has good plans for us, our families, and our world. As we draw near to Him today, come with a belief and trust that He is good. Trust that His Word is true and His good promises will come to pass.

God promises in His Word that, “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV)

When world events have been weighing heavily on our hearts, when there’s a friend or family member who has fallen away in their relationship with God, we can be confident in the promises of God. Our fasting is making a difference.

We need God’s healing, restoring, and reviving work in our nation and world. Fasting is a simple yet effective way to humble ourselves before God, call upon His promise to respond to our cries, and release His presence and power in the lives of those around us.

Keep praying, keep seeking, keep knocking, and believe you will see God come through!

On your 15th day of fasting, remember:

●       Believe that God is good, and He is for you.

●       Humble yourself, pray, and turn from your wicked ways.

●       Your fasting is making a difference in the lives of others.

Prayer Focus: Pray for world events, friends, and family that are weighing heavily on your heart.

Reflection Question: Who or what has the Lord placed on your heart to pray for as you fast?
